How to Tell if a Belt Holster Needs Replacing

If you find yourself shifting around, or having to readjust your positioning every few minutes because your holster is causing you discomfort, then it’s time to consider replacing the holster with a new one.

A few other signs may be if your belt holster is uncomfortable or painful to wear for more than a few hours at a time or you notice cuts on the inside of your waistband where the belt holster touches your skin.

If you don’t replace the holster, then your scanner may end up being damaged by the constant pressure of being held in place.

A sign that your belt holster is ready to be replaced with a new scanner holster is if your belt holster is not protective or safe. A belt holster should protect your scanner from damage and should be able to support the weight of the scanner with ease. When you feel like your belt holster is no longer providing the protection that it used to, it's time for a new one.

Here are some signs that your belt holster needs to be replaced:

• The belt is cracked or broken
• The belt is worn down and needs to be replaced
• The strap that holds the scanner in place has become loose and does not hold the scanner securely

The first sign that your holster is ready to be replaced with a new scanner holster is if your holster is wearing out or deteriorating. This can be seen if the material used in construction of the holster is showing signs of wear and tear, such as scratches or tears in the material. Below are some signs that your holster needs replacing:

• The edges of the holster are starting to fray and lose their shape.
• There are holes in the material where it has worn thin.
• The stitching is coming loose in places, causing the fabric to come apart at the seams.

There are many signs that a belt holster is ready to be replaced. A sign that your holster needs to be replaced is if it is not user friendly, does not offer an easy access, it's not practical or multi-use.

It's not user friendly: You should be able to access your scanner with ease while wearing the holster. If it's difficult to get out the scanner or if it doesn't fit properly, it's time to replace it.

It's not practical: In order for this item to work properly, it needs to be able to hold your scanner as well as protect them from damage while they're stored in the holster. If these items don't fit properly in their designated slots, then there is risk of damage when they're taken out of the holster or placed back into it after use.

It's not multi-use: A scanner needs more than just a good storage place during downtime—it needs protection when being used on site as well!
